Joseph Eugene Franz
Joseph Eugene Franz, 60, of Maiden passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his residence.
He was born May 30, 1964 in Gaston County to the late Diana Marie Franz and James Nelson Hall. Joseph attended Redeemed Baptist Church in Lincolnton and worked in the automotive industry. He served in the Pumpkin Center Fire Department for 16 years, loved horses, night fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

Wife of 10 years: Lou Ann Talbert Franz of the home
Sons: Joseph Eugene Franz II and wife Krystal of Gastonia
Cody Reese Beal of Maiden
Daughters: Renee Ann Beal of Maiden
Shirley Denise Smith and husband Dusty of Casar
Grandchildren: Joseph Eugene Franz III, Jonah Elias Franz, Dalton Owen Whitworth, Autumn Rachelle Whitworth, Mason Christopher Whitworth, Lonna Allie Paige Smith, and Kinsley Mashay Smith
Great-Grandson: Sawyer Knox Whitworth
A memorial service to celebrate Joseph’s life will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. at Redeemed Baptist Church in Lincolnton. Rev. Alan Wheeler will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 to 4:45 p.m. at Redeemed Baptist Church.
