LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Frances Ruth Withers Covil, age 84, of Maple Lane in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Standridge officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The body will lie-in-state for thirty minutes prior to the service.
Mrs. Covil was born July 19, 1938, in Lincoln County, to the late Elgin J. Van Withers and Ina Bell Armstrong Withers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Daryell Covil; two sisters, Mary Greene and Louise Henderson; and granddaughter, Julie Diane Williams. Frances worked as a winder for Carolina Mills.
She is survived by a son, Timothy Covil of the home; two daughters, Kristy Covil of Lincolnton, and Diane Williams of Mayodan; three brothers, Charles Withers of Maiden, Glenn Withers of Ocean Isle, and David Withers of Virginia; two sisters, Glenda Henderson of Shelby, and Shirley King of Maiden; two grandchildren, Alicia and Michael; and three great-grandchildren.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Covil family.
