LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Mrs. Doretha Barber Cochrane, 87, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Atrium Health - Lincoln.
Mrs. Cochrane was born on July 27, 1935 in Cook County, Ga. a daughter of the late James Madison Barber and Mary Bertha Callahan Barber. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her four sons, Jerry Cochrane Jr. and wife Teresa of Oklahoma; John Cochrane and wife Roxanna of Boiling Springs; Jim Cochrane and wife Christy of Vale; Joel Cochrane and wife Terri of Maiden; five grandchildren, John Andrew Cochrane, Abigail Cochrane Carnehl, Stuart Cochrane, Jacob Cochrane and Paul Cochrane; and four great-grandchildren, Leeland, Graham, Davidson and Annaleigh.
The family received friends from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.
Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dennis Bean officiating.
Burial followed the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
