HICKORY, N.C. - Jennifer Huffman Canella, 40, of Hickory, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
She was born February 10, 1983 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Saundra Petty Huffman of Hickory.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Noble Wayne Padgett; maternal grandfather, Jerry Lee Petty and wife Sue; great-grandparents, Lonnie Tedro Smithey and Getsy Ball Smithey; and great-grandmother, Stella Owens Petty.
Those left to cherish her memory is her son Jacob Craig Canella of Claremont; daughter Callie Nicole Canella of Claremont; mother Saundra Petty Huffman of Hickory; brother Jordan Dane Huffman and wife Lexy of Hickory; grandmother Linda Smithey Padgett of Claremont; aunt Cheryl Petty Weaver and husband Eric of Tennessee; niece Zoey Marie Huffman of Claremont; and cousin Briana Stephens and husband Shane of Tennessee.
A celebration of life service to honor Jennifer’s life was held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 4 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Conover. Bishop Brian Lutz officiated. The family received friends prior to the service from 3:30 to 4 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to offset funeral costs and to benefit the continuing educational needs of Jennifer’s children, payable to Saundra Huffman, mailed to the attention of Alice Robbins, 1005 21st Ave. NE, Hickory, NC 28601
