LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Edward Houston Jones, age 74, of Horseshoe Lake Road in Lincolnton, died on Friday, March 17, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Ed was born February 8, 1949, in Lincoln County, to the late Lonnie Herman Jones and Minnie Tallent Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Mae Helms Jones; four brothers; and three sisters. He worked as an electrician for Lincoln Electric for 30 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Gilbert of Iron Station; two grandsons, Dyon Robinson and Josh Gilbert; two granddaughters, Jennifer Sanders and Stephanie Gilbert; two brothers, Bobby and James Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Jones family.
