LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Jerry Wayne Keever, age 79, of Hoover Road in Lincolnton, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernie Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Keever was born March 20, 1944, in Lincoln County, to the late John Franklin Keever and Bessie Johnson Keever. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Maxine Propst Keever; brothers, Bill Keever, Carrol Keever, and David Keever; sisters, Natha Lee Meeks, Alma Robinson, Betty Keever Sain Brandenburg, and Patricia Houser; and stepmother, Nancy Sain Keever. He served in the United States Army and later worked for General Electric.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Wooten (Jeff) of Vale, and Brenda Warner (David) of Lincolnton; son, Gerald Keever (Jennifer) of Vale; grandchildren, Rachel Wooten, Sarah Wooten, Dylan Warner, Emily Warner, Braden Keever, and Sydney Keever; brother, Larry Keever (Ann) of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Reepsville Baptist Church, 4287 Reepsville Road, Vale, NC 28168.
