Man Facing Child Sexual Exploitation Charges In Two Counties
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Detective K. Harrington charged Harris with four counts of first degree sexual exploitation of a minor.  Harris was arrested in Moore County on March 19, 2023 and is being held on an $80,000 secured bond on the Cleveland and Lincoln County charges.

Effective at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, flu restrictions limiting visitation by those aged 12 and under was lifted at Charlotte-area Atrium Health hospitals. A significant drop in the number of patients being seen with flu-like symptoms prompted the change.

A Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy was injured in a Monday night incident on Hwy 73, but was rescued from more serious injuries by a bystander.  A young Denver woman fled the scene but was arrested in Charlotte and charged with attempted murder.

Two Dead in Denver
Lincoln County Sheriff's Office investigators are continuing their investigation into two deaths in the Denver area that appear to be connected.  A 35-year-old woman, Debra Ana Jackson, was shot to death on Monday (Jan. 9th).  The body of a man was found in a pond not far from her home.  Officers are continuing to piece together what happened.
