A Lincolnton man who may be or have been a church pastor was arrested Friday (March 17th) on child sex charges. Terry Wayne Rudisill, 49, of South Madison Street was arrested at 3:40 pm and charged with three counts of Taking Indecent Liberties with Children, one of which is alleged to have occurred recently involving an eleven-year-old girl and the other involving another girl who was fifteen years old when the sexual assaults are alleged to have occurred. Rudisill was jailed under a $50,000 secured bond.
The Lincoln Herald was unable to confirm that Rudisill may be or have been the pastor of an independent Baptist church.
The news release from the Lincolnton Police Department reads:
On Friday, March 17, 2023, at 3:40 p.m., detectives from the Lincolnton Police Department Criminal Investigations Division along with the assistance of patrol officers, arrested Terry Wayne Rudisill, age 49 of 710 South Madison Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092. Rudisill has been charged with three counts of Taking Indecent Liberties with Children, one count which recently occurred to an eleven-year-old female and the other two counts that involved another female who was fifteen years old when sexual assaults occurred. Rudisill received a $50,000 secure bond and was confined to the Lincoln County Jail. The investigation is still ongoing. The lead investigator of this case is Detective Sergeant W. Siebenhaar with the Lincolnton Police Department.
