LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Surrounded by her loved ones, Betty Eileen Young Cool, age 96, of Lincolnton went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Yount officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cool was born August 5, 1926, in Rockford, West Virginia, to the late Glen and Lucille Synder Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Cool; infant daughter, Kimberly Eileen Cool; and sister, Laura Kathleen Tucker.
She is survived by two sons, James Darel Cool Jr. (Gail) of Jefferson, Ga., and Gary W. Cool of Bishop, Ga.A; daughter, Pamela (Cool) Smith (Marc) of Winston-Salem; two sisters ,Glenna Jean Bobbio of Escondido, Calif., and Priscilla Galvin (Lee) of San Marcos, Calif.; grandchildren, James Walter Cool (Christi), Allison (Cool) Coulter (Lanier), Victoria Julianne Smith, and Jenna Elizabeth Smith (fiancé Randell Parker); and great-grandchildren, Emmaline Kimberly Coulter and Jackson Lanier Coulter.

Betty Eileen Young Cool lived a life of incredible ministry and service for Christ. Together, with her late husband Rev. James D. Cool they faithfully proclaimed the gospel for over 53 years, serving the lost, hurting and sick. Mrs. Cool was kind and compassionate to all and lived an exemplary Christian life. Mrs. Cool was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Betty Eileen Young Cool is more alive now than ever in eternity! John 3:16
