CHERRYVILLE, N.C. - Judy Kay Cook Gladden, 66, of Cherryville, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.

Born in Cleveland County, on May 11, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Wilber Cook and Janette Katherine Hoyle Cook. She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. Judy also enjoyed working with her flowers.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Wilbert Wesley Cook and two sisters, Betty Baugham and Nora Cook.

She is survived by her husband of 50ears Bobby Dean Gladden; a son, Shane Gladden and wife Valerie of Cherryville; three daughters, Tonya Beattie and husband Rick, Nickie Willis and husband Glenn; and Vickie Smith and husband Derek all of Cherryville; a brother, Earl Cook of Lincolnton; seven grandchildren, Ashlyn, Chaislyn, Destiny, Landon, Levi, Loralei, and Colton.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-3 p.m. at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel.

The burial will follow the service in the Cherryville City Cemetery.
