HIGH SHOALS, N.C. - Susie Carpenter Baker age 93, of North Lincoln Street in High Shoals died Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Mrs. Baker was born April 21, 1930 in Lincoln County. She was the daughter of the late Fitzhugh Carpenter and Jessie Leonhardt Carpenter. She was also preceded in death by first husband Willie Baker and second husband Bob McGinnis; brothers, Bill Carpenter and Dwight Carpenter. Mrs. Baker worked in textiles.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2023 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bill Hallman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at High Shoals Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Survivors include; son Bobby Baker and friend Frances Troutman of High Shoals; daughter, Dorothy Baker of Massachusetts; grandchildren; Barbie Willis (Mike) of Lincolnton, Bryon Baker (Kelly) of Asheville; great grandchildren; Andrew Willis (Kaylynne), Caroline Baker and Josie Baker.

Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Baker family.
