Hyssongs & Gloryway To Perform Sept. 23
LOWESVILLE––The famous Hyssongs gospel group will perform a free concert on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 5 p.m.
The Vineyard Church of Lowesville is the place to be, according to noted gospel singer and concert co-ordinator Carroll Cooke. And although the concert is free, as Cooke recently noted, a free-will offering will be taken up.
Hailing from Maine, the award-winning Hyssongs are quite big on the gospel music scene. Dell, Susan and Richard Hyssong are on continuous tour. Known for their energy, they combine family vocal harmony, humor and the trumpet and trombone in shows that delight audiences everywhere. The family’s classical music background, along with harmony and specific chord structures, lend them a unique sound that has made quite an impact on audiences.
Also on the bill is the Buckeye-based Gloryway. The group features lead singer Justin Crank, tenor Bryan Langley and newest member Philip Kolb. They’re known for unique and versatile performances that mix classic harmonies with exciting and inspiring new sounds and styles. Each performance is sure to delight and encourage all who listen.
The Vineyard Church is located at 1062 NC-16 South in Lowesville, just down the road from Hill’s Chapel United Methodist Church. The church features Southern, bluegrass and/or acoustic gospel concerts every Saturday evening.
