LINCOLNTON, N.C. – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective J. Lail located a runaway who is safe and back in foster care.  The teen was located in the Lincolnton area on September 22, 2023.

On September 19, 2023, deputies were dispatched to 2484 Johnstown Road in reference to a juvenile who ran away from a foster home.  The foster parent advised that Jay Cicero Branch, 16, left the residence due to being grounded and not wanting to be disciplined.  He was last seen walking toward Cherryville on Johnstown Road.
