Alice Rogers Cote, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

She was born October 26, 1947 in Illinois to the late Willard “Bill” Melvin Rogers and Hilary Joy Harwood Rogers. Alice graduated from Bradley-Bourbonnais High School in Bradley, Illinois in 1965. She attended Western Illinois University, obtained a Bachelor's degree in education, and taught home economics at Kankakee High School. Alice was the co-owner of Cote Photography with her late husband Larry Cote, an active member of the 4H Club in Illinois, and youth group leader at Wesley United Methodist Church. Alice was an active member at Neighbor's Network Senior Center, volunteered with the Red Cross, and served for over a year in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry David Cote.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of three years Tony Drum of Conover; sons Scott David Cote and girlfriend Lisa Denning of Hickory, Andy James Cote and wife Janet of Hickory; grandchildren Justin David Cote, Grayson James Cote, and Ava Caroline Cote; honorary friends Reid and Diana Moore, Marcos Acevedo, Paul and Beth Zeedyk, Gerald and Joyce Zeedyk, and Mickie Drum.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Alice’s life was held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10-11:30 a.m. at Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton.
