LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Ann Gray Wilson, 77, of Lincolnton, formerly of Catawba, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at her residence.

She was born January 7, 1947 in Iredell County to the late Jack Thomas Wilson and Clara Carter Wilson. Ann was a member of Catawba Baptist Church in Catawba and retired as an administrative staffer. She thoroughly enjoyed shopping and antiques.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Vickie Wilson Rowe; and the father of her son, Oren Carter Payne.

Those left to cherish her memory is her son Jason Payne and fiancé Jessica Della Penna of Lincolnton; brother Jack Morris Wilson and wife Jan of Mooresville; brother-in-law Rocky Rowe of Conover; niece Ashley Rowe Winebarger and husband Marty of Conover; and great-nephew Ryker Winebarger of Conover.  

A service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Catawba Baptist Church in Catawba. Rev. Derek Jones will officiate. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-1:45 p.m. at Catawba Baptist Church.
