Fundraiser in support of our friends and neighbors in the Appalachian Mountains

VALE, N.C. - WoodMill Music Works, Dirty Grass Soul, WHKY 102.3 FM Talk Radio and Word of Life Lutheran Church are hosting a Music Fundraiser in support of our friends and neighbors in the Appalachian Mountains whose needs currently are truly unmanageable.

The event called Appalachian Aid Jam 2024 will start at 2 p.m. and run until 9:30 p.m. on October 12 at 1250 WoodMill Winery Lane, Vale, NC 28168.

It will feature the following bands: Dirty Grass Soul, Todd & Friends with Jeff Cline and Bailey Marie Griggs. Food Trucks will be on-site and available during this event.

Admission to this event will be donations to support our Western North Carolina neighbors.

Acceptable donations include Non-Perishable Food Items, Cleaning Supplies, Personal Hygiene products etc. In addition, we will be collecting farm supplies such as hay, fencing, feed, etc.

Monetary funds in the form of cash or debit cards will be accepted to support this on-going effort. We have requested that the entire collection process will be overseen by a Samaritans Purse representative.

Please come out and enjoy this Music Event Fundraiser to support our Western North Carolina neighbors. All collected items will be transported to Hickory and/or Lincoln County Airports for distribution to areas in need. 50% of all monetary fund donations will be used to purchase and transport items needed for farms and farm animals that have been displaced by Hurricane Helene.

The remaining 50% of all monetary fund donations will be given to Samaritans Purse to support their on-going efforts to provide help for our Western North Carolina neighbors during this time of much need.
