Arlene Turner Adams
September 1, 1925 – September 11, 2024
NEWTON, N.C. - Arlene Turner Adams, 99, of Newton, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Carolina Caring.
She was born September 1, 1925 in Fulton County, Ga. to the late Noah and Camilla Driver Turner. Arlene was a member of North Newton Baptist Church and retired from the textiles industry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L.C. Adams; son, Larry Raymond Adams; and daughter, Shirley Bailey.
Those left to cherish her memory is her son David Gary Adams of Alfretta, Ga.; daughter Sandra Kimsey of Newton; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Arlene’s life will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Tommy Young will officiate. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery in Newton. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-1:45 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service.
