Barbara Jean Leonhardt Stamey
January 12, 1939 - September 6, 2024
VALE, N.C. - Barbara Jean Leonhardt Stamey, age 85, of Seagletown Road in Vale passed away Friday, September 6, 2024.
Mrs. Stamey was born January 12, 1939, in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Sumner “Pokey” and Clara Mae Sigmon Leonhardt.
Mrs. Stamey is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Wilson (Jim) of Vale and Tonja Cobb of Denver; grandchildren, Tami McGee, Kelli Durham (Rhett), and Jacqueline Kirby (Matt); and several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stamey was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Dean Stamey; daughter, Teresa Stamey; grandsons, Shane McGee and Zachary Pless; brother, Danny Leonhardt; and sister, Diane Finger.
A graveside service for Mrs. Stamey will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in Hollybrook Cemetery of Lincolnton with Pastor Wayne Brittain officiating.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Stamey family.
