Beverly Lynn Sain Smith

Beverly Lynn Sain Smith of Vale passed away peacefully at her home on March 24, 2025. She was born December 25, 1952, in Lincoln County, to the late Hubert and Gladys Sain.
Lynn was a graduate of West Lincoln High School and Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degrees in Library Science. She worked for the Lincoln County School System as Librarian at S. Ray Lowder Elementary School for 34 years until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 39 years, Tommy Smith, Jr. of the home. Two sons, Thomas Smith, III, and wife Bethanne and Daniel Smith and wife Sara; granddaughters, Susannah, Caroline, Stella and Chloe Smith all of Vale. Two brothers, Dr. Larry Sain (Beth) and Tracy Sain of Vale and sister Karen Sain (Renee) of Vale.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday March 29, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church Columbarium with the Reverends Tommy Lineberger and Robert Sain officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30pm until 1:30pm in the Trinity Lutheran Church sanctuary prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, PO Box 7, Vale, NC 28168.
