Brenda Alice Madden Lowe

Brenda Alice Madden Lowe, age 82, of Cherryville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on February 20, 2025, with her husband by her side. Brenda was born January 13, 1943, in Elbert County, Georgia, to the late Howard L. and Ellen Yeargin Madden.
Brenda was a graduate of Elbert County Comprehensive High School, and The Anderson Hospital School of Nursing. For over 30 years, she was a Prenatal Nurse and Lactation Consultant in Georgia and North Carolina. Other than being a dedicated pastor’s wife, Brenda was also actively involved with Children’s Ministry. She was instrumental in the creation of the Children’s Worship Center and The Way of the Child. Brenda was active in the C.A.R.E Ministry and the Presbyterian Pilgrimage Movement. She was also part of the Builders for Christ Missions in Mexico. Brenda was soft-spoken, but dedicated to making change, serving the Lord, and spreading the Word. She was a member of the Naomi Stroupe Sunday School Class. Brenda loved the Lord and her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a dedicated wife, an active member of her church, a loving grandmother, and will truly be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Sanford Rosser, Sr.; sister, Judy Gladstone (Sam); and grandson, Ford Rosser.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 43 years, Reverand Dr. Billy T. Lowe; children, Joe Sanford Rosser, Jr. (Beth), and Laura Van Brunt (Mark); brother, Henry Madden (Pricilla); and grandchildren, Med Rosser, Claire Van Brunt, and Cecilia Van Brunt.
Her family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2025, in the Lowe Family Life Center of First Presbyterian Church of Cherryville.
A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM, at First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Will Upchurch, Rev. Allyson Helvie, Rev. Leonard Bumgardner, and Pastor Debbie Lesenger officiating.
A Private Burial will be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Elberton, Georgia.
Her family requests that memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church – 107 W. Academy St., Cherryville, NC 28021.
