Carolina Caring Celebrates Veterans At Community Event In Newton On November 11

The event is open to the public

NEWTON, N.C. - Carolina Caring invites the community to a heartfelt ceremony honoring all veterans, especially Vietnam War veterans, on Monday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Newton. The event is open to the public and will be a powerful tribute to those who have served our country. Shuttles will be available from the Newton downtown public parking lots to the event.

Carolina Caring is proud to partner with the Vietnam Veterans of America, and we extend our gratitude to Foothills Veterans Helping Veterans and the Catawba County Veterans Office for their invaluable support.

This year's ceremony will feature special guest speaker Col. Troy "Gil" Gilleland, a distinguished veteran with nearly 39 years of service, including combat deployments and leadership roles. Gilleland’s dedication and service exemplify the spirit of our nation's heroes.

The meaningful ceremony will include reflections from Vietnam veterans and personal testimonials. The community is encouraged to come together at this event to honor their sacrifices and celebrate their bravery.
