Charles "Bud" William Wagner
September 6, 2024
HOLTWOOD, Pa. - Talented and loved, Charles "Bud" William Wagner, 67, of Holtwood went home to be with the Lord, Friday September 6, 2024 after a quick, but courageous battle with cancer.
Charles retired as a press operator, as well as worked a lot of his life as a talented brick mason, but there wasn't anything he couldn't build or fix. The simplest pleasures brought joy to Charles. He loved a quiet day at home, with family, getting dirty in the garden or piddling with his many toys. From old cars, tractors, toys and antiques he was a collector who had it all. And he always had his two yorkies, Buster and Sissy, by his side, or on his head.
Charles's pride was in his family. A devoted husband, married to Tina Neff Wagner for 48 years. A cherished father to Joseph William Wagner, married to Brooke Campbell Wagner, and Carla Wagner Beam, married to Jim Beam Jr., all of Quarryville, Pa., and the late Traci Leigh Wagner who died in a MVA in June 1999. We are comforted to know they had a great reunion on the streets of gold that Friday morning he went home to heaven. He was a loving grandfather to Austin Wagner, married to Grace Herr. Tyler and Mahalie Wagner, as well as Jaidee, Jimmy and Benjamin Beam all of Quarryville, Pa. He was a precious brother to Cathy Carroll, Fallston, N.C., Patricia Wagner, Maiden, N.C., Debra Scism, Fallston, N.C., Cindy Keener, Conover, N.C., and Michael Wagner, Hickory, N.C. Also, an adored uncle to many in North Carolina and Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Traci Wagner, his parents Carl and Mildred Wagner, a sister Faye "Sis" Wagner and several nephews and niece.
A service to celebrate Charles's life will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Methodist Church in Claremont. Rev. David Nolan will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-1:45 p.m. at Shiloh Methodist Church.
