Christian Ministry Thanks Cornerstone Church

Plus: emergency services needs multiple items

LINCOLNTON––Christian Ministry of Lincoln County is expressing its gratitude.

That’s the word this week from executive director Mitzi Williams.

“A huge thank you to the youth of Cornerstone Church in Maiden!” Williams enthusiastically declared. “They came by the ministry this week to help us in lots of areas. They cleaned up, both inside and outside. They worked on the dock. They worked in the clothes closet. They worked in the kitchen. They worked hard. We appreciate all they did!”

In other news, the ministry’s emergency services wing is in need of walking shoes (tennis shoes) in all sizes for men, women, boys and girls. New undergarments for women are needed in all sizes. And quart-sized Ziploc bags are needed for the pantry and clothing closet.

With the help of its member churches, local businesses, social groups and individual supporters, Christian Ministry seeks to meet the needs of those who are less fortunate through its emergency services, soup kitchen, annual Christmas campaign, nursing home program and, for local elderly and shut-in residents, the delivery of LINC Home Meals.
