LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Christine Murrell Morrell, age 99, of Laboratory Road in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Byron Morrell officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Christine was born May 21, 1925, in Cumming, Georgia, to the late Emory Ernest Murrell and Carrie Odeller Hudson Murrell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Samuel Morrell; sons, Rickie T. Morrell and Farrell W. Morrell; two brothers; and four sisters.  She worked as a seamstress for Bon Worth. 

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Morrell Parrish of Lincolnton; sister, Genette Ogburn of Alabama; two grandchildren, Hailey Drum of Statesville, and Josh Parrish of Lincolnton; and five great-grandchildren, Connor Drum, Caroline Drum, Evelyn Parrish, Hayden Parrish, and Adyson Parrish.
