Pumpkin Patch, Family Bingo Night, Revival, Community Breakfast, BBQ Sale, Community Supper; plus more event dates to save! Here are more details:

BCUMC Pumpkin Patch September 28 - October 31: Pumpkins will arrive on Saturday, September 28 from New Mexico at Boger City United Methodist Church, 2320 E. Main St., Lincolnton, NC 28092. Hours will be 12 noon until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.   Proceeds will benefit church missions. Also local honey will be sold with a percentage donated back to the church from the Bridges family. Pumpkins in all shapes, and sizes from baseball size to monsters taking two people to carry plus colorful gourds of every shape, and size are available for sale in different price ranges. An assortment of mini-pumpkins will be available for sale and make great addition for teachers implementing classroom activities. Parents and grandparents are encouraged to bring their cameras for scenic photograph opportunities of your children and grandchildren amongst a “sea” of orange pumpkins. Cherryville First Church of the Nazarene Family Bingo Night, Saturday, September 28: Join us for a FREE Family Bingo Night on Saturday, September 28 at 5 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase. Hebron Church Revival, Saturday, September 26-28: Hebron Church, 7929 Hwy. 27, Vale, NC will host a Revival on Thursday, September 26 with Dr. Jeff Taylor, on Friday, September 27 with Dr. Craig Edwards and on Saturday, September 28 at 7 p.m. Rick Strickland will demonstrate his faith through songs.

Bethel Baptist Community Breakfast, Saturday, October 5: Join us at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Bethel Church Rd., Lincolnton, NC 28092 for our Community Breakfast (1st Saturday of every month 7 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.). We will be serving all of your country favorites, along with something sweet and a breakfast casserole! Donations only.

Pisgah Methodist Men BBQ Sale, Friday, October 4: BBQ plates will be sold on Friday, October 4 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Pisgah Methodist Church, 2582 Gastonia Hwy., Lincolnton, N.C. 28092 in the fellowship hall.  $10 per plate which includes BBQ, bun, slaw, beans and dessert. Eat in, carryout or delivery available.  Delivery for 10 plates or more will be available by seeing one of our Methodist Men ahead of time or by calling the church at 704-732-1990 on October 4 to have the plates delivered

St. Luke’s Lutheran Supper, Saturday, October 5: Hosting a supper on Saturday, October 5 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. or until. Cash or check only. Dine-In $15 (age 5-12 $6; under 5 free) with chicken pie, chicken dumplings, stew beef, green beans, potatoes, rice, cole slaw, pinto beans, rolls, desserts, tea, coffee, soft drinks. Carry-Out $12 with choice of one entrée, green beans, potatoes, cole slaw, roll and dessert. For to-go orders on the day of the event call 704-735-2968. A table will be available for the purchase of fall crafts. Pre-order whole chicken pies by Wednesday, October 2 for $20 by calling 704-735-2968.

Boger City Methodist Men Meeting, Thursday, October 10: The Boger City Methodist Men meet the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Brookwood Café, 220 Providence Mill Road in Maiden. The meal is Dutch treat and there will be fellowship afterwards and will be held in a private meeting room. All Methodist men are invited to attend.

Crouse UMC Free Community Breakfast, Saturday, October 12: Join us for a FREE Home Cooked Breakfast with Friends and Neighbors on Saturday, October 12 from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Breakfast menu varies each month. Pleasant Grove UMW Fried Apple Pies & BBQ Sandwiches, Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Offering Fried Apple Pies $4, BBQ Sandwiches $3, and a Bag Lunch $6 (includes sandwich, chips, drink and a cookie). Aldersgate UMC Apple Butter Festival, Saturday, October 19: Aldersgate’s 10th Annual Apple Butter Festival is October 19, 2024 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Join us for food, fun and fellowship. Food vendors will be serving breakfast, lunch, baked goods, ice cream and of course Apple Butter! We will also have live bands performing all day, a classic car cruise-in, and activities for children of all ages. All proceeds benefit community needs, and global missions. Bethel Baptist Gospel Music Jam, Friday, October 25: Join us at Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Bethel Church Rd., Lincolnton, NC 28092 for our monthly Gospel Music Jam on the fourth Friday of each month at 6 p.m. Come play, sing, fellowship, and eat a meal with us. We would love to have you!

First Assembly Jeff Little Trio Concert, Friday, October 25: The place to be that Friday evening at 7:30 is the First Assembly Church, located at 777 S. Myrtle School Road in Gastonia. Little is an award-winning musician from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. In 2014, he was inducted into the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame. Little is joined by Steve Lewis on the acoustic guitar, banjo and vocals and Luke Little on the mandolin. Tickets are $30 each. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show follows half an hour later.
