Clyde Robert Stines Jr.
February 4, 1934 - August 19, 2024
LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Clyde Robert Stines Jr., age 90, of Lincolnton, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Shea Houser officiating. Military honors will be rendered. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mr. Stines was born February 4, 1934, in Gaston County, to the late Clyde Robert Stines Sr. and Mildred Friday Stines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tim Stines.
Clyde served in the United States Army for two years in the transportation division, and later worked as a truck driver for Burlington Industries for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Chloe Baker Stines of the home; daughter, Cindy Stines; sister, Clara Jo Cloninger of Rocky Mount; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
