LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Constance "Elaine" Porter Albertson, age 90, of The Greens in Lincolnton, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024. 

Elaine was born July 11, 1934, in Atlanta, Ga., daughter of the late Thomas Howell and Euna Rainwater Porter.

Elaine was a loving homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.  She was a member of Freedom Church in Lincolnton.  She loved the Lord and her church family.

Elaine is survived by her children, Cindy Whitener (Mel), Rick Albertson (Myra), Tim Albertson, and Connie Turner (Darren); sister-in-law, Era Carlan; grandchildren, Shannon Whitener (Dusti), Christie Murray (Jake), Adam Whitener (Erica), Chad Albertson, Summer Albertson, Jonathan Albertson, Evan Albertson (Sasha), Morgan Fox (Rob), and Gracie Turner; great-grandchildren, Cody Heavner (Kelsey), Aydan Heavner (Jacob), Cameron Whitener (Laura), Ashton Marchbanks (Janson), Emma Whitener, Eli Whitener, Jayden McSwain, Trevor McSwain, Lucy Fox, Turner Fox, Van Albertson, and Sonny Albertson; and great-great-grandchildren, Asa and Kat Payseur.

In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, John Eugene "Gene" Albertson; brothers, Tommy Lowry and Roger Porter; and sister, Diane Porter.

A private family service will be held at the home at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Church, 125 East Main Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
