Daphine Conner Harris
Daphine Conner Harris, age 94, of Elizabethton, Tennessee, and formerly of Lincolnton, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Shea Houser and Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Centerview Baptist Church Cemetery, Maiden, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Salem Baptist Church.
Mrs. Harris was born August 28, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Pearl Cunningham Conner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Ralph Harris; son, Douglas Harris; brothers, Ralph Conner and Harold Conner; and sisters, Ruby Logan and Shirley Dellinger. She was a retired teaching assistant, as well as a dedicated pastor’s wife during her husband’s 37 years in the ministry. She was a long-term member of Salem Baptist Church, actively involved in with the Seniors Ministry until her recent relocation to Tennessee. She taught Sunday School at various churches during her seventy years of church service.
She is survived by a son, Michael Harris and wife Jackie of Johnson City, TN; daughter, Kimberly Harris Hall and husband Tim of Kingsport, TN; daughter-in-law, Gloria Harris of Fincastle, VA; brother, Max Conner of Newton; and four grandchildren, Emily Harris Lagacy and husband Connor, Juliet Harris, Conner Hall, and Nicholas Hall.
