Darel Robert Dellinger
Darel Robert Dellinger, 95, of Conover passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Carolina Caring in Newton.
He was born August 6, 1929 in Catawba County to the late Cecil Paul Dellinger and Ethel Maudina Sigmon Dellinger. Darel was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Conover and retired from the radar and television engineering industry. He was a United States Air Force veteran serving from 1947-1950.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Joseph Alan Dellinger and Robert Vance Dellinger; and brothers, Jack R. Dellinger and Paul J. Dellinger
Those left to cherish his memory are;
Wife of 72 years: Dorothy Blake Dellinger of the home
Daughter: Martha Louise Barber and husband Joseph of Alexandria, VA
Daughter-in-law: Sandra Dellinger of Mechanicsville, VA
Grandchildren: Christie Glysson, Leslie Dellinger, Andrew Barber, and Michael Barber
Great-Grandchildren: Hailey Mae Glysson, Tyler Glysson, Evie Barber, and Fitz William Barber
A memorial service to celebrate Darel’s life will be held at a later date.
