Donald Wilson Avery
March 16, 1940 - July 31, 2024
LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Donald Wilson Avery, age 84, of Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Darin Carpenter Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-4:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Donald was born March 16, 1940, in Lincoln County, to the late Marshall and Floy Scronce Avery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel C. Avery; and siblings, John William Avery, Sr., Joann A. Hart, Sue A. Killian, Barbara A. Black, and Bobby S. Avery. He retired from Cochrane Furniture Company after 35 years.
He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Warlick Funeral Home of Lincolnton, N.C. is serving the Avery family.
