MAIDEN, N.C. - Eddie Roush Jr., age 92, of Maiden passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at his residence.

He was born July 1, 1932 in Mason County, West Virginia and was the son of the late Eddie Roush Sr. and the late Bertha Roy Roush. Eddie worked with the Columbus Ohio Reserve Police Force. He was the author of nine spiritual poem books. Eddie had a nursing home ministry with his wife Mary. Together, they loved sharing about Jesus. He had a radio ministry and produced six Christian albums.

In addition to his parents, eleven siblings preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Mary Glaze Roush of the home; two sons Eddie S. Roush and wife Tonya of West Jefferson, Ohio, Stevie A. Roush and wife Virginia of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter Sandra R. Widener and husband Jeff of Ohio; numerous grandchildren; and caregivers Donna Guy and husband Marcus and daughter Olivia Guy all of Maiden.

The funeral service was held Friday, August 30, 2024 at 3 p.m. at Burke Mortuary in Maiden with Pastor Robert Morgan officiating.

Burial followed in the Maiden City Cemetery.

The family received friends prior to the service from 2-2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
