Edward Lee Perkins
February 10, 1951 – July 30, 2024
IRON STATION, N.C. - Edward Lee Perkins, age 73 of Iron Station passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at his residence.
Born February 10, 1951 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late James and Selwyn Ballard Perkins. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Newton. In addition to his parents, brother, Johnny Perkins and grandson, Nicholas Jenks preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years Shirley Perkins of the home; son Dennis Perkins and wife Holly of Iron Station; daughter Wanda Jenks and husband Ashley of Vale; brother Richard Perkins of Iron Station; sister Linda Zieverink of Rock Hill, S.C.; two grandsons Ryan Jenks and Cash Perkins.
The funeral service will be held, Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Newton with Pastor Dusty Roberts, Pastor Bud Painter and Pastor Macon Ballard officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-1:45 p.m. at the church.
