GCLMPO Public Comment Period September 1-30
All written comments must be received by September 30, 2024
GASTONIA - The Gaston-Cleveland-Lincoln Metropolitan Planning Organization (GCLMPO) has established a public comment period to amend the 2024-2033 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and the 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP).
The documents will be available for review and public comments will be received from September 1, 2024 – September 30, 2024.
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) identifies the transportation projects that GCLMPO and NCDOT plan to undertake over the next ten years. The Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) is the long-range, fiscally-constrained plan that defines the transportation network that will serve both present and projected volumes of vehicular traffic, public transportation use, bicycle, pedestrian, aviation and freight travel in and around the urban area. Federal regulations require the TIP and MTP to be consistent with the NCDOT’s State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
The GCLMPO’s 2024-2033 TIP and 2050 MTP need to be amended to reflect modifications that have been made to the 2024-2033 STIP for various projects across the GCLMPO planning area.
Additional information can be obtained by visiting the MPO’s website at www.gclmpo.org.
Written comments may also be sent by mail, email, or fax to the following address: Gaston-Cleveland-Lincoln MPO; Attn: Tori Dellinger, Principal Transportation Planner; PO Box 1748, Gastonia, NC 28053; tori.dellinger@gastonianc.gov or FAX 704-869-1960.
All written comments must be received by September 30, 2024.
The public may also provide comments during the GCLMPO TCC Meeting on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 10 a.m. and the Board Meeting on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.
