GASTONIA––The Gaston County Police Department is seeking the public’s help.
According to a Wednesday statement from the GCPD, this concerns a case of larceny that occurred on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Video-surveillance imagery plays a crucial role in this case, which involves a stolen debit card accidentally left upon the counter at the King’s Mart convenience store at 3007 Hickory Grove Road in Gastonia. This is actually a rural area out in the county, sandwiched between Mount Holly and McAdenville.
An image taken by the King’s Mart security camera shows a female suspect, appearing to be in her mid-50’s. She is overweight and haggard in appearance, possessed of a high forehead and thinning, greying hair tied in a ponytail. She is wearing a heavy sweatshirt with the words “wander west” emblazoned in large letters.
The suspect attempted to use said debit card at the gas pump. She was driving a red “Soul,” a sub-compact car manufactured by Kia.
