Gene Raymond Marley
Gene Raymond Marley, 80, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at The Greens in Hickory.
He was born May 11, 1944 in Wilkes County to the late Roy and Virginia Hamby Marley. Gene was a member of Three Forks Baptist Church in Taylorsville and retired from the furniture industry. He enjoyed fishing, had a deep appreciation for classic cars and was a devoted husband who cherished every moment with his beloved wife, Mary.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Marley and Ronnie Marley.

Grandchildren: Shauna Stowers, Natasha Greer, Heather Tufts and Stephanie Martin
Great-Grandchildren: Grayce Tufts, Samantha Stowers and Alyssa Stowers
A memorial service to celebrate Gene’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Pastor Carlson Mosley will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at Bennett Funeral Service. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Iredell Memorial Cemetery Columbarium.
