Ghost Tours On The Square In Dallas Starting October 4

Tours are every Friday evening in October at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m.

DALLAS, N.C. - Haunted Gaston Ghost Tours on the Court Square in Dallas are back on Fridays in October!

Have you ever smelled the stench of the Red Eyed Devil (gross!) or heard the Gentleman Caller knocking on your door (should I answer it?!)? Join the staff of the Gaston County Museum and the Dallas Branch Library on a lantern-lit stroll through Historic Dallas and hear about these hauntings and more!

“Who doesn’t like a good October scare?” asks Alexandrea Pizza, Executive Director of the Art & History Museum. “Inside the Museum, we stick strictly to the historic facts, but during the month of October, we like to give a wink and a nod to old-fashioned local lore!”

Museum Education Manager Alex Brooks has been giving ghost tours around the square for several years, and he says that visitors can expect the unexpected. “Every year people bring us new stories or add to our existing ones,” he said. “Dallas is definitely a contender for the most haunted town in Gaston County!”

Tours are family friendly, though ages 12 and up are encouraged. Children under 12 are free. The tours involve approximately an hour of walking, with some non-paved terrain. Guests with accessibility concerns are asked to let staff know prior to the start of the tour.

Tours are every Friday evening in October at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. (October 4, 11, 18 and 25.) All tours will begin at the front of the Gaston County Museum of Art & History, 131 W. Main St., Dallas.

Tickets are $10 for the general public 12 and older and are available at Eventbrite or by calling the Museum at (704) 922-7681. Admission is free for Museum members but reservations are still required.
