Ida Boyles Burton
April 30, 1931 - September 14, 2024
VALE, N.C. - Ida Boyles Burton, age 93, of Vale passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024.
A private graveside service for Mrs. Burton will be held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. Burton was born April 30, 1931 in Lincoln County. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Boyles and Pearl Houser Boyles. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Burton. Mrs. Burton was a teacher’s assistant in the Lincoln County School System.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Burton Heafner and husband Walt of Lincolnton; two sisters, Doris Boyles Bobbitt and Peggy Boyles Bumgarner; one brother, George Dewey “Bud” Boyles Jr.; two grandchildren, Brooke Heafner, Jay Heafner and wife Krista; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Heafner, Reese Heafner and Conner Heafner; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 1156 Northbrook III School Rd, Vale, NC 28168.
