Janet Roberts Moore
Janet Roberts Moore, 74, of Claremont, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at CarePartners Hospice Solace in Asheville after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born October 5, 1950 in Gaston County to the late Clarence Eugene Roberts Jr. and Margaret Combs Roberts. Janet was of the Lutheran faith and retired as an office manager in the manufacturing industry. She had a passion for flowers, found joy in visiting the beach, and was an avid reader. Janet was a loving mother and devoted grandmother, and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jerry Milton Moore; brothers, Clarence “Butch” Roberts III and Richard “Rick” Roberts; and grandson, Hunter Matthew McConnell.
Those left to cherish her memory are;

Son: Alan Moore (Nick) of Charlotte
Sister: Peggy Poe (Gifford) of Granite Falls
Sisters-in-law: Renee Roberts of Hickory
Phyllis Roberts of Shelby
Granddaughters: Makenzie McConnell and Kylie McConnell
Grand-Pups: Charlie and Piper
A service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton. Rev. Daniel McGee will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Service.
