Kristina & Southern Praise Bring Christmas Joy To Somerset Court

CHERRYVILLE, N.C. - Residents of Somerset Court of Cherryville were treated to a delightful evening of music and holiday cheer on Wednesday, December 18. The singing group, Kristina & Southern Praise, brought the spirit of Christmas to life with a heartfelt program featuring traditional hymns and a touch of festive humor.
The evening’s program centered around the traditional Christmas story from the Gospel of Luke, narrated beautifully by Cynthia Skinner. The event began promptly at 6:30 p.m. and concluded at 7 p.m., leaving attendees with a lasting sense of joy and community.
Kristina & Southern Praise performed a selection of cherished Christmas hymns that resonated deeply with the audience. The standout song of the night was "Beautiful Star of Bethlehem," which inspired many residents to sing along, their voices blending harmoniously with the performers.
The evening took a playful turn when Kristina wrapped up the performance with a humorous rendition of "All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth," imitating the voice of Alvin the Chipmunk. The lighthearted performance brought laughter and smiles to everyone present.
In addition to the music, the group presented residents with Christmas gifts and treats, spreading warmth and generosity. The residents showed their appreciation with enthusiastic applause, a testament to the joy Kristina & Southern Praise brought to Somerset Court.
