Lana Carpenter Houk, 75, of Denver, passed away at her residence.
She was born March 31, 1949 in Marion, NC to the late Ralph and Virgie McKinney Carpenter. Lana retired from Hilton Properties after 20 years of service as a corporate sales manager. She loved going shopping, decorating her home, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patsy Moore and Saundra Honeycutt; and many beloved aunts and uncles.
Those left to cherish her memory are;
Son: Shawn Franklin and wife Tina of Mills River
Daughter: Michelle Laughter and husband James of Matthews
Brother: Larry Carpenter and wife Doris of Marion
Sister: Karen Roberts and husband Chris of Landrum, SC
Grandchildren: Alex and Ashley Franklin; Austin Franklin; Andrew and Aidan Laughter; Brittany Gordon; and Michaela Nowak
Great-Grandchildren: Willow and Cash Gordon
A memorial service to celebrate Lana’s life will be held at a later date.
