The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will hold a special called meeting Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 9:00 AM, at the Lincoln County Administration Building, 353 N. Generals Blvd. Lincolnton, NC.

The purpose of the meeting will be to hold a Public Hearing to explain the proposed Federal Capital application and obtain citizen input. Lincoln County Senior Services Transportation is applying to the Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program (Federal Section Capital) Grant. The application will request approximately $80,000 in 5310 funds. This grant will provide additional transportation services to medical appointments, nutritional sites and other locations to carry out the essential daily living tasks for those individuals who are 65 years of age or older and individuals with disability as defined in section 3(1) of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12102).

Also, this special meeting will be held for the purpose of considering a request from the Lincoln County ABC Board for approval to establish a fund for specific capital improvements pursuant to N.C.G.S. §18B-805.”
