Leaf Season Collection Underway In Lincolnton

Do's & Don'ts for the City of Lincolnton free curbside leaf collection for city solid waste customers.

LINCOLNTON, N.C. - It's fall and that means it's Leaf Season. The City of Lincolnton's free residential curbside leaf collection service for solid waste customers has started. Our crews are still working through storm debris and heavy limbs and have added leaf vacuum services to street maintenance schedules.

Here are the do's and don'ts for leaf and other debris during the winter months:

·         Please pile leaves on the street at the curb. Do not put leaf piles in your yard. The leaf vacuum does not reach into yards.

·         Keep all limbs, sticks, and other debris OUT of leaf piles so the city vacuum equipment isn't damaged. Mixed piles will not be collected!

·         Place limbs and sticks in piles at the curb, away from leaf piles.

The annual leaf season collection runs from October 15 to February 15. For more information on leaf collection and yard waste, please check the Yard Waste & Tree Trimmings page on the city website at https://www.lincolntonnc.org/civicalerts.aspx?AID=513
