MIDDLE SCHOOL GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP, Tuesday, October 8
The Lincoln County Middle School golf championship match was held on Tuesday, October 8th at Westport Golf Club. Team scores were East Lincoln Middle School- 183, North Lincoln Middle School- 188, West Lincoln Middle School- 228, and Lincolnton Middle School- 235.
East Lincoln's Sloane McKinney was the medalist for the event with a score of 40, followed closely by her teammate, Kennedy Gallantine with a 41. The top scorers for NLMS were Max Ryland and Maximus Pangle. Cash Craig and Jayden Blevins led the effort for WLMS and Bentley Bass, Miles Evans, and Landon Raimey all tied to lead LMS.
The season will conclude next Tuesday at the YMCA Riverbend course near Shelby with all twelve middle schools from Lincoln, Cleveland, and Rutherford Counties participating.
WEST LINCOLN SOCCER, Wednesday, October 9
West Lincoln 1, Bandys 8: West’s one goal came off a free kick from freshman Greg Soto Aguilar. West Lincoln takes on Maiden on Monday, October 14.
