Lizzie “Lib” Beaver Elmore
Lizzie “Lib” Beaver Elmore, age 96, of Lincolnton, died on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Farnsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:45 until 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Born in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Caroline Beaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fitzhugh William Elmore; three sisters, Alice Howell, Lou Ellen Wright, and Gladys Grant; and two brothers, John Beaver and R.L. Beaver.
Survivors are a son, Dale Elmore; grandson, Todd Elmore (Beth), and great-grandson, Tanner Elmore.
She retired from Lincoln County Home Health Agency, later serving on the Home Health Advisory Board. She was active in senior activities, serving on the Senior Council, the Lincoln County Council on Aging, SHIPP volunteer, founder and president of The Acorns, the former senior club of Oak Grove Church where she was a former charter member. She is now a devoted member of Southside Baptist Church.
