CROUSE, N.C. - Michael John “Mike” Farris, age 70, of Bud Black Road passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024, at his residence. 

He was born December 6, 1953, in Lincoln County, to the late John Farris and Muriel Johnson Grant.  He retired from Timken where he was a hard worker and always provided for his family.  Mike was a quiet man who enjoyed fishing and taking walks in the woods.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Farris (Charleen) and Dennis Wells.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Roxie Laws Farris; daughter, Stephanie Farris Small (Gerald Small Jr.); grandson, Gerald “Buddy” Small III (Nicole Clifton); sister, Linda McMahan; sisters-in-law, Peggy Laws Cooper (Walter) and Sun Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to drop by the home and visit with the family to share memories and celebrate the life of Mike.
