Mrs. Stephanie T. Willis
Cherryville – Mrs. Stephanie T. Willis, 59, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Stephanie was born on August 17, 1965 in Gaston County, North Carolina a daughter of Charlie Grant and Barbara Grant. She was a project administrator for W.B. Moore in Charlotte. Stephanie was a member of First Baptist Church in Cherryville. She enjoyed going to every ballgame of her grandchildren and also enjoyed getting together with family and friends and going shopping.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Morris “Bert” Hickson, III.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Robert Lee “Robbie” Willis, Jr. of the home; two daughters, Jessica Hickson of Cherryville; Macie Deaton and husband Brandon of Shelby; two sons, Justin Hickson and wife Brooke of Lincolnton; Matt Willis and wife Kelli of Shelby; four grandchildren Jayden Adams, Emery Adams, Renlee Deaton and Jacob Howze; a sister, Lisa Burchfield of Gastonia. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:30PM to 1:45PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Cherryville. At other times the family will be at the home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Cherryville with Dr. Vince Hefner officiating.
Following the service, Stephanie’s request was that everyone gather at her home for a toast.
Burial will be private.
