NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION FOR LINCOLN COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA
Early voting will be held from Thursday, October 17th, 2024, to Saturday, November 2nd, 2024
The statewide general election will be held on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024.
Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
Voters will be asked to show photo ID when they vote. All voters will be allowed to vote with or without ID. Voters who lack ID can get one for free from their county board of elections. Find out more at ncsbe.gov/voter-id.
Early voting will be held at the following locations from Thursday, October 17th, 2024, to Saturday, November 2nd, 2024:
· Monday through Friday hours are 8:00 a.m.—7:30 p.m.
· Saturday, October 19th and 26th 8:00 a.m.--3:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 27th, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
· Saturday, November 2nd 8:00 a.m. –3:00 p.m.

· Lincoln Board of Elections, Elections Room at 451 Salem Church Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092
· Betty Ross Recreation Center, Gym at 800 Madison Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092
· West Lincoln Library, Community Room at 4797 Westwinds Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092
· East Lincoln Recreation, Community Center at 8160 Optimist Club Road, Denver, NC 28037
Absentee ballots will be mailed to voters who have requested them beginning September 24th, 2024. A voter can fill out an absentee ballot request at votebymail.ncsbe.gov, or by filling out a request form provided by the board of elections. The request must be received through the website or by the Lincoln County Board of Elections by 5 p.m. October 29th, 2024.
In the general election, voters will select candidates for U.S. President, U.S. House of Representatives, N.C. Governor, N.C. General Assembly, state and local judges, district attorney, and county offices. (City offices for those that live inside the city limits.)
There will also be a Constitutional Amendment Referendum: Constitutional amendment to provide that only a citizen of the United States who is 18 years of age and otherwise possessing the qualifications for voting shall be entitled to vote at any election in this State. FOR OR AGAINST
The voter registration deadline for this election is 5 p.m. Friday, October 11th, 2024. Eligible individuals who are not registered by that deadline may register and vote at any early voting site during the early voting period. New registrants will be required to provide documentation of their residence.
The Board of Elections will meet in its office at 451 Salem Church Road on the following dates and times and other times as may be necessary for the purpose of approving absentee ballot applications:
· Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
· Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
· Tuesday, October 15th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
· Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
· Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
· Monday, November 4th, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
· Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
· Thursday, November 14th, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Absentee and Provisional
Canvass will be held Friday, November 15th, 2024, starting at 11:00 a.m. in the Board of Elections Office in Lincolnton, North Carolina.
