Paul Eugene Finger Sr.
December 31, 1942 - November 8, 2025
LINCOLNTON, N.C. — Paul Eugene Finger Sr, age 82, of 120 Julia Drive in Lincolnton, passed away on November 8, 2025.
Funeral services to celebrate Paul’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on November 13, 2025 at Asbury Methodist Church with Pastor Natalie Gray officiating and Pastor Kenneth Spencer assisting. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Church, Lincolnton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Finger was born December 31, 1942, in Lincoln County, son of the late L.V. and Bonnie Lewis Finger.
He was considered a pioneer in the trucking industry. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t design or create. He was a man of incredible work ethic and had a true passion for what he did. He spent his last 20 working years with Gaines Motor Lines before he retired.
Paul married the love of his life, Rebecca Ann Link Finger. After their retirement, they both were very compassionate and generous to the community and their church. They volunteered for Christian Ministries delivering meals on wheels and visited friends and family in their homes and nursing homes during sickness or comforting times.
Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ann Link Finger, sister, Linda Rome, and three brothers, Marshal Finger, L.V. Finger, Roger Walker, and David Lewis.
He is survived by son, Paul Eugene Finger Jr (Bo) and wife Melinda Finger, daughter, Barbara Cater and husband, George Carter; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Asbury Methodist Church, PO Box 676, Lincolnton, NC 28093.
