Perry T. “Tommy” Nixon Jr.
August 4, 1935 – September 21, 2024
HICKORY, N.C. - Perry T. “Tommy” Nixon Jr., 89, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at his home on Lake Hickory.
He was born August 4, 1935 in Lincoln County to the late Perry T. Nixon and Jessie Cherry Nixon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Kathleen Nixon Wallin (J.D.), Dorothy Nixon McCall (Ned), and Billy Nixon (Lela); and a son, Farley M. Nixon.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife Carol Parks Nixon of the home; daughters Cindy Nixon Skipper (John), Susan Nixon Salvage, and Melanie Girard; sons T. Bradford Nixon and Michael Girard; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Tommy’s life and memories will be held to commemorate the love and caring he brought to those who knew and loved him.
