LINCOLNTON, N.C. - Rachel Gilbert Jones, age 86, of Beverly Lane in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Her funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Boatwright officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until12:45 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Rachel was born October 3, 1937, in Lincoln County, to the late Forrest and Ethel Rudisill Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Earnel Jones; two brothers; and three sisters. She had worked as a medical assistant.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Lewis Jones (Rhonda) and Timothy Alan Jones (Angie), all of Lincolnton; two daughters, Angela Jones Boyles (Tony) and Cathy Jones Smith (Dwight), all of Lincolnton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
